Throughout August, the Night Lighters LWML will be collecting sunglasses for MOST (Mission Opportunities Short Term). Bright purple collection boxes are located in the narthex, Luther Commons, and the Family Life Center for your donations. Donated sunglasses should provide UV protection, as they are especially needed in tropical regions where prolonged exposure to intense sunlight can cause eye damage.
The sunglasses are distributed by eye-care mission teams serving communities in these countries. Prescription eyeglasses are also welcome. Bifocals will be recycled through the Oklahoma Lions Club, and soft leather or fabric eyeglass cases are greatly appreciated.
