I Love the 90s: Week 2

This week in Discipleship Hour, Pastor Brakhage continues the summer Psalms series with Psalm 91 and a look back at 1991. From Operation Desert Storm and the first real era of 24-hour war coverage to the anxiety and restlessness heard in the grunge music of the early 90s, this class reflects on the fears people carried then and the fears we still carry now. Psalm 91 does not ignore danger or pretend fear is not real. Instead, it points us to the Lord as our refuge, shelter, and salvation. Pastor Brakhage reminds us that the safest place in the universe is not a life without danger, but life in the presence of Christ, who has overcome even death itself.
