Grounded

Lenten Wednesdays Sermon Series
Beginning Ash Wednesday – February 18th

The word “grounded” certainly helps us reflect on the consequences of our behavior, but it also points to having a sure and solid foundation. To be “grounded” as Christ’s people is to have a firm grasp on the reality of what’s true and certain, and to act upon principle, not the whims and winds blowing through a changing world. Lent reminds us we are dust, but to a world of mere dust, the Lord delivers His best gift: a Savior who wears our dust with us and for us. This Lenten journey invites us to rediscover what it means to be grounded—humbled in our dust, rooted in Christ’s Word, honest in repentance, attentive in discipline, growing in grace, and anchored in the hope of resurrection.
