Rev. Jonathan Meyer was born and raised in Seymour, Indiana. He first became interested in ministry shortly after a mission trip to Mexico in 2002. Since then, he has had a passion for service and ministry, reaching the lost with the message of Christ.

In 2007, he completed his undergraduate studies from Concordia University Chicago (River Forest), double majoring in History and Theology, with a minor in Biblical Languages. It was there, in River Forest, that he met his wife, Emma (Schultz). A big part of their life at CUC was the music and theater programs, performing in both the Concordia Wind Symphony and in many stage productions.

Upon graduating college, Rev. Meyer took a few years off to gain a little more world experience.” In that time, he traveled the United States and Southeast Asia doing music and youth ministry with a team from Youth Encounter; he also worked at Camp Lakeview, a Lutheran camp where he had worked for several summers during college.

In 2010, he and his wife were married, and began their life in St. Louis, Missouri, as he attended Concordia Seminary. In 2012, Rev. Meyer arrived at a place he never imagined he would be: Oklahoma! He served in that year (2012-2013) as Vicar, before returning to St. Louis to finish his studies.

In April of 2014, the congregation of Holy Trinity by the prompting of the Spirit, to be sure—graciously chose to issue Rev. Meyer the Call into the Office of Holy Ministry, serving as Assistant Pastor. He feels it a privilege to serve the saints of God in this place, and to make disciples for the Kingdom! Rev. Meyer and his wife are blessed to be here and to call Edmond, Oklahoma “home.”
